西方復古音樂運動不是一項封閉嚴苛的音樂表現，而是幫助二十一世紀學習與熱愛西洋古典音樂的人，用不同的角度，對音樂有更多的選擇與欣賞，因為世界各地的音樂是不能用高低來區分的。本專輯目的是要讓東方人認知西洋音樂的演變，並和東方的器、樂交融。想想從前傳教士們帶來音樂的啟發，很清楚的就是個「好」字可以形容。

這次的作品，重於表達每個不同時段的心境與意象，所以音樂的主題：都在表現直觀直覺的自由自在、無拘無束。由「 自我審視與藝術鑒賞」開始，乃至發表於外，歸結ㄧ句話就是「藝術之美要秀出來」，希望藉此共探討，共鳴放。

音樂有國界，但是表現音樂的動機無邊界，我們用寫作音樂表達人，事，物，時事，政治與歷史。要對過去有認知，才會對未來有創新。

Historical performance practice is not a fixed ideology or doctrine in performing arts, it is rather an eye opener for classical music practitioners and lovers in the 21th century. The purpose of composing these works is to be inspired by the past based on historical events; to demonstrate spectrums of culture and art that seem far away from each other yet share similarities that once coexisted in parts of the world. 

History has been coined as events happening in chronological order as we read in textbooks, however, it is rather a simultaneous course of events happening at the same time. It is indeed incomprehensible if we sew pieces together. Imagine these well-known composers were writing music in the European continent, while others were exploring the New World, along with the journey that missionaries embarked to the East at the same time frame.  

Rhetorics and interpretations in music take similar forms as language communicating in every culture. We use music to give narratives on people, events, politics, and history. To create a better musical world, we better know our past.
