2016年秋天，平安隆發行第二張個人專輯《悠》，這是距第一張個人專輯《かりゆしの月》（1998年）發行後的18年了，《悠》集結沖繩傳統民謠，將古謠新唱，沈吟出一個時代的悠遠。在分別多年後聆聽到老師的新作品，大竹研直言：「是再次和平安隆的音樂戀愛了」，平安隆的歌聲如同過往般的強而有力，更多了時光淬鍊後的飽滿韻味。
