從《花樣年華》開始到《2046》跟《一代宗師》也喜歡選用他的音樂，而森田芳光的日本經典電影《其後》配樂亦是出自他手.
「Music for Film」系列繼坂本龍一之後到也是氣質派的梅林茂，由比利時管弦樂團來演繹他多首經典作品，示範如何霸氣演繹但不失優雅.
